Heroes Of Castries Central (20.10.2024) – Biography of Earl Lewis

Mr. Earl Lewis, also known as Cosmos, 82 years of age, owner of Cosmopolitan Bar on Victoria Street
Castries. Mr. Lewis resides at Julian Charles Street, Sans Souci. He has a strong belief that emphasis
should be placed on reading to educate one’s self. He also believes that in order to work towards a
bright future you need to know your history.

He has been a stalwart of the United Workers Party and is very passionate about politics. In his opinion,
the late Sir John George Melvin Compton had a vision for Saint Lucia and possessed excellent leadership
qualities for Saint Lucia.

He has also observed that over the past years to now, our libraries has nothing about the political
history of Saint Lucia, (1951- Adult suffrage to now). It is important to note that politicians fabricate
history, since the citizens are not educated about our history, they tend to believe every politicians
version of it.

Giving back to the community and helping persons in need is a passion for Mr. Lewis. He genuinely
participates in providing sponsorship when requested by the community.

The growth and shaping of the city’s human resource is an important aspect, which should be nurtured
to achieve individual goals.
