Ernest Sam Augier is the Executive Chairman of the Soufriere Regional Development Foundation. He was rewarded with the job by Emma Hippolyte after financing and helping to manage her 2021 Election campaign in Soufriere. Since assuming the post of Executive Chairman of the SRDF, over 50 employees of the Foundation have been unceremoniously sent home. Many of the employees have alleged that they were fired because they are perceived to be supporters of the United Workers Party.
Whilst Sam Augier has presided over the firing of 50 hardworking sons and daughters from Soufriere, apart from serving as Executive Chairman he also holds the positions at the foundation of CEO, HR Manager, Operations Manager and Chief Financial Officer
