Hundreds of families across the constituency of Gros Islet lost the majority of their belongings during yesterday’s heavy rains.
Many of them are complaining that a lot of this damage could have been avoided if the annual desilting of drains and rivers in communities such as Grand Riviere, Corinth, Bois D’Orange and Monchy hadn’t been stopped by Parliamentary Representative Kenson Casimir and Infrastructure Minister Stephenson King.
