The sector has been used as a major catalyst to facilitate real economic growth. We have created a tourism product that
is globally competitive, environmentally and socially sustainable; one that provides viable opportunities for indigenous
investment; and a product that will maximize both backward and forward linkages.
This UWP Government has:
- Achieved Record Tourism Arrivals in 2016,2017,2018 and 2019
- Achieved the World’s Leading Honeymoon Destination for 4 Years in a row
- Expanded the berthing for Cruise Ships at Pointe Seraphine
- Created the Saint Lucia Summer Festival
- Rebranded Saint Lucia- Let Her Inspire You
- Introduced the Village Tourism initiative in Soufriere, Anse La Raye and Gros Islet
- Created the Saint Lucia Tourism Authority
- Partnered with the Private sector to establish the Anse la Raye Beach Park
- Significantly Increased Airlift into Saint Lucia
