Residents are voicing their outrage over the ongoing construction at Serenity Park, which has disrupted what was once a peaceful green space. Their frustration is compounded by the fact that no community consultations were held before the project began. Adding to the controversy, a similar facility is already under construction less than 400 meters away by the CDF, raising serious questions about duplicated efforts and the wasteful use of scarce taxpayer funds.
Even more concerning, there was no public tendering process for this project, and authorities have yet to disclose its cost. Rumors suggest a staggering price tag of over $1 million—money that could have been better allocated to urgent community needs. Citizens deserve transparency and accountability, not secrecy and waste.
