If a video clip on the internet, featuring Central Castries MP Richard Frederick, is anything to go by, then a new day has dawned for our once simply beautiful Saint Lucia.
The widely publicized story told by Richard Frederick suggests he had good cause to believe his life was in peril. While the nightmarish story triggers more questions than answers, it leaves concerned citizens to wonder why there has been no public reaction. Not by our security minister, not by the police, not even by the media several days following the incident that so far only Mr Frederick has addressed.
Is the government too embroiled in the scandalous accusations of sexual harassment against at least one leading member of the force to pay attention to the deadly prospects hinted at by Mr Frederick’s story?
