In the face of an ongoing mismanagement of the country’s affairs by the ruling St. Lucia
Labour Party, the Opposition United Workers Party will on Sunday convene a National
Town Hall Meeting. The event will be held in the northern community of Monchy.
The meeting will bring into sharp focus the CIP scandal, the ongoing water crisis, the bad
Halls of Justice deal and new revelations on the ill-conceived GPH agreement.
Political Leader Allen Chastanet will headline the list of speakers, who are also expected to
center discussions on the general state of the country.
The UWP gathering comes as the country debates the ramifications of a lawsuit filed in the
US Federal Courts claiming fraud facilitated by the current government in its management
of the country’s CIP program.
The meeting commences at 6:00PM.
