Senator Herod Stanislas has voiced his concerns and called out Soufriere MP Emma Hippolyte for neglecting the Factory Road Vending Facility which was started during his tenure as MP under the Village Tourism Project. Despite being in power for two years, the current administration, led by the Saint Lucia Labour Party (SLP), has failed to undertake any additional work on the facility. As a result, the area has transformed into a dump site, jeopardizing its condition and wasting valuable government resources.
The Factory Road Vending Facility, once touted as a key component of the Village Tourism Project, held great promise for economic growth and community development. However, it is disheartening to witness the lack of action from MP Emma Hippolyte and the SLP administration. With two years having passed since their assumption of office, no meaningful efforts have been made to enhance the facility or address the deteriorating conditions.
The inaction and disregard for the Factory Road Vending Facility represent a wasted opportunity and a squandering of government resources. The initial investment made into the project now seems futile, as the facility’s potential remains untapped. The lack of progress undermines the credibility of the SLP administration’s promises for community development and economic growth. #PuttingYouWorse#PierreEhCare#LabourPains
