The Talvern Housing Development in Babonneau, launched by the UWP in March 2021, aimed to provide affordable land ownership with 220 lots at just $6 per square foot. When it finally resumed in 2024, the new SLP price was a staggering $14.50 per square foot, more than double the original cost.
