In June 2017, under the leadership of the United Workers Party administration, work began on the upgrade of the Hill 20 Water Treatment Plant in Babonneau. The first phase of the project involved replacing the existing six-inch main with a ten-inch main between the Hill 20 facility and the La Croix storage tank—significantly increasing the system’s water flow capacity.
Phase two of the upgrade included the installation of an additional electrical pump at the Hill 20 plant to further boost water supply to surrounding communities, enhancing consistency and reliability for residents across the area #PeopleCentered
