I have spent the morning checking up on residents, businesses and institutions that were affected by the passage of Hurricane Beryl in Soufriere. Whilst I am thankful that no lives were lost during the passage of the storm, many of our people along the waterfront have been severely affected by flood waters.
I appeal to the Government to ensure that the required resources and support is given to a speed up the clean up and rebuilding efforts. Additionally I pray that the small business owners who have been affected especially those at the Soufriere Beach Park will be given the necessary aid to restart their businesses
