From the community of Gros Islet, Therold Prudent is the CEO of PrudMax, a chain of companies which includes Opportunity Print & Design, Nash’s Party Place, Island Smoothie, the International Bar & Café and the Prudent Family Farm.
He is the son of Frances Prudent and Police Superintendent Police James Prudent. He is married to Sharon, his wife of 34 years and has two children, Nashota and Kade.
Therold has been involved for decades in politics both locally and in New York, having served within the Sir John Compton Administration and subsequently with Democratic governments in the State of New York. Mr. Prudent became heavily involved in the UWP Gros Islet campaign in 2020 and has dedicated himself to promoting the goals and interests of the party.
He is an acclaimed author of the nonfiction books entitled ‘Glory Days & Tragedy’ as well as ‘Our Darkest Moment,’ which depicts Saint Lucia’s political history from 1979-1982.
Therold holds a Master’s Degree in Government and Politics with specialization in International Relations. He graduated from Saint John’s University with a Certificate in International Law and Diplomacy and he also obtained a Bachelor of Science in Management & Communications from Adelphi University and later, a degree in Travel Tourism Management.
