Hon. Allen Chastanet has been the Political Leader of the United Workers’ Party since 2013 when he was elected by party members at their convention that year and again at all subsequent conventions.
Allen has been involved in many large regional companies as well as charitable and nonprofit organizations such as Air Jamaica’s Lovebird Kids’ Club, the Make it Happen Foundation and the Caribbean Media Exchange – the region’s premier non-profit forum for examining regional issues through journalism.
Allen Chastanet holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics and Political Science, as well as an MA in Development Banking – degrees earned from Bishop’s University in Quebec, Canada and American University in Washington D.C., USA respectively. He is married to Raquel Du Boulay and has two children, daughter Rhyan and son Braden.

1995-2003: Vice President of Worldwide Sales and Marketing at Air Jamaica, implemented strategies for increasing international flight market share and increased customer satisfaction.
2000: Allen Chastanet was named Travel Agent Magazine’s “Caribbean Destination Person of the Year”.

2007 – Recipient of Counterpart International’s “World Leadership Award”.
2009 – Allen M Chastanet was named Travel Agent Magazine’s “Caribbean Travel Personality of the Year”.
2016-2021 – Prime Minister of Saint Lucia.
